Dad has a little Spring
When I went to Arizona the middle of February my mom and I bought these silk flowers in bunches and never got around to arranging them. I brought the project home and put them together. It was such a joy to be able to do this for my dad. I truly believe the things we do for him now is healing. I did them all by myself and I think they turned out well. I enjoyed them for a little over a week and then took them to dad. The day I went it was so warm and sunshiny no wind at all. As I approached his headstone there was a light breeze that waved his flag almost as if dad was excited to see me. Some people think Im weird but I want to feel my dads presense so bad that I make my whole world about him. From the wind and sunshine to the bees and hummingbirds, I believe my daddy sends them just for me.
Im already there, im the sunshine in your hair, im the shadow on the ground, im the whisper in the wind, I take this song very seriously.
Happy Spring Everybody!!!

Great Times
I took the kids to Arizona for Winter break and we had a great time. We went to the zoo and the Arizona Museum of Natural History. Chandler participated in a race that we got to watch. He is a great runner and Hillary says he gets LOTS better with each race. Mariah was in a BUGZ play and was a beautiful monarch butterfly. Hillary made the costume and it was the best I have ever seen. Jackson loves to ride his bike. He will ride it fully clothed, only in underwear, and sometimes NAKED. He is quite the pistol but also so much fun. I got to give him 2 baths while I was there, his first two weeks of life I gave him a bath every night so it was a joy to get to do it again. I miss my mom and sister so it was really nice to be able to go, and VERY hard to leave.

I am married to a wifey boy!!
Last Sunday the kids and I dropped Carl off at the airport, in Montrose, his flight left at 945 am. We watched him go through security and then we left. He got to Denver no problem, got on another flight to St. Louis. He arrived in St. Louis at about 3 pm. He texted me and said he was there and all was well. He checked into his hotel and unpacked. He found some dinner and had it delivered to his room. The business meeting was at the hotel where he was staying. He had no car and no other transportation. The hotel was in the middle of a residential area, so no stores or restaurants within walking distance. So he settled in for the night and watched t.v. At about 9 pm Sunday night he called me and asked me not to be mad at him. I asked what was wrong and why I would be mad at him. He replied "I can't be here another minute." He was having an anxiety attack and he felt like he was going to have a heartattack. How can a wife be mad at her husband for missing her so much it was litterally making him sick to be away from her? I picked him up at the airport in Montrose at 2 pm on Monday. Carl has done this a couple of times in the past, but we thought he would be okay this trip. Thankfully his boss is a totally awesome lady, she covered for him and he won't lose his job. She actually embellished the story for Carl's benefit to the Regional Manager. So now Carl will be home alone when the kids and I go to Arizona. He said thats fine HE just can't leave home without me. Gotta love this boy!!!

Am I Sad or Happy?
I am sad ----Carl left this morning for St. Louis. He will be gone for 2 weeks. Training for work.
I am happy ----In 6 days I leave to go to Arizona to see my Mom and sister. I am so excited, if I was a bad mom I would leave now to go to Arizona. But the kids need to be in school. Carl and I have been apart this long only one other time, that is when I went to Arizona to take care of Hillary when Jackson was born. I am going to try to stay busy this week so I don't miss Carl as much. And try to think of this time as a great relationship builder.
I am thankful ----That his training and my vacation are at the same time. A lot less stress on everybody this way.
I am even more thankful ----Carl got the final word of job promotion. He is the new Center Manager in Grand Junction. More money, more responsibility, but less freedoms, he actually needs to be at work from 8-5. He will continue to be the manager in Delta, but has hired a wonderful and very smart assistant to run the day to day operations. This promotion also means we move back to Grand Junction. Yeah?!!!?

Happy Birthday Heather
So I turned 35 on Saturday. There was suppose to be a party with all my girlfriends but they all could not come for one reason or another. Sick, funeral, no babysitter. The usual things mothers face when wanting to get some time away. I was really bummed, and Carl tried very hard to make things all better. He bought me a new vaccum, which I needed very bad. I had been using a shop vac on my hands and knees for months. It is a really nice one too. He got me a bouquet of wild flowers and the most awesome card. Carl and the kids took me out to my favorite breakfast spot for apple pancakes. MMMMMMM GOOD!!!! We shopped around Junction for a bit and came home to watch movies and just hang out for the evening. All and all a pretty good day. When I go to my mom's next month hopefully I can get egg rolls and german chocolate cake.

The present from my Mommy
For Christmas my Mommy gave me this figure of a father and daughter. I am going to call it Daddy and Me. While on our trip to Granby earlier this month I found this tiny mug at a little store and bought it. I think it looks perfect in my daddy's lap. Thank you so much Mommy I absolutely love my present.
